Energy & environmental transition

International and national standards, pressure from consumers or investors… Energy and Environmental Transition (EET) plans are no longer an option. They impact organizations, many processes, brand perception and sometimes the very purpose of clients we serve. We help our clients understand these upheavals, address them proactively and comprehensively, and, above all, integrate them at the highest level of strategy, to transform constraints into levers and risks into opportunities.

We adapt strategic diagnostics to sector we serve

  • Identifying and understanding energy and environmental transitions (EET)
Seen from the perspective of an economic player, there are no EET challenges per se: only issues that become challenges when confronted with changing business and market contexts. Understanding EET matters of a company or public institution requires experts capable of combining business experience and EET. This dual expertise allows us to help our clients identify their challenges, prioritize them, and qualify them in light of their overall strategy. We deploy our EET expertise across multiple sectors where CMI has built super strengths: healthcare, telecom, food industry, local authorities, energy companies, water and environment, midcap funds as an adjacency etc.
  • Developing mitigation strategies
The first part of an EET strategy consists of exploring opportunities to reduce negative impacts of a company or institution we support. We help clients understand and assess this impact as well as risks that may surface, short and long term. We then design mitigation strategies in line with the strategy of stakeholders involved. CMI has developed tools to measure the cost/benefit balance of these strategies compared to a counter-scenario: the cost of doing nothing.
  • Developing adaptive strategies
Economic stakeholders and communities must consider existing and future effects of the ecological transition. We help them understand climate, social, societal, and technological transformations, as well as more immediate impacts on their markets, resources, business models, manufacturing processes, and more. We then build a strategy based on business challenges that transforms these external constraints into opportunities.
  • Enriching development paths
We design flexible EET strategies in line with overall strategy, rooted in business challenges of key stakeholders, and serving as a springboard to unlock new opportunities. Whoever seizes them fastest wins biggest.

As committed experts in the energy and environmental transition (EET), we integrate these increasingly pressing issues into strategic plans we design with our clients.

Anchoring the EET within the overall business strategy.
To ensure an EET is rooted in clear business challenges, we mobilize teams mixing business and EET expertise.

Turning EET into an innovation accelerator
To make it a development engine that opens up new horizons (new business models, new products, new markets, etc.), we integrate our innovation expertise into our projects.

Shifting EET from a constraint to a performance lever
To ensure EET is a sustainable investment and creates value for the economic player, CMI developed techniques to assess the cost/benefit of proposed actions and compare various EET plans.

Landing an EET strategy in the field
To ensure EET is a genuine and recognized commitment, we support our clients from start to finish: from operationalizing the strategy and measuring results to making necessary adjustments.

Providing precise, up-to-date expertise on all EET topics
EET covers a wide range of matters, most of which are still evolving. We have built an ecosystem capable of complementing our firm's expertise by providing cutting-edge knowledge on all EET related topics.
